Social service agencies, churches, and other organizations on the front line of serving those in need make the referrals to the Emergency Food Pantry. Families or individuals who live in Cass or Clay county may receive stop-gap assistance to help them until other organizations are able to assist, or until the crisis is overcome. The Emergency Food Pantry serves people without regard to age, color, creed, race, or income.

When You Are Referred to the Pantry
Individual households may be referred up to six times within a year period. Eligible clients and families may come in at a frequency of once every other month. When you come in to request your food basket, please bring an ID (identification card) with you.
The Emergency Food Pantry provides a week's worth of nutritional food up to six times a year upon referral. This includes bread, fresh meat, eggs, and butter and a variety of non-perishables: cereal, canned soup, dry milk, canned fruit, sugar, pasta, peanut butter, vegetables, and juice. Many of these supplies are donated by individuals and organizations; other items are purchased with monetary donations.
Volunteers assist in shopping for our referred families and individuals client menu as well as assist the clients themselves in making their own choices in meat, dairy and produce products. Most of this labor is coordinated by participating civic groups and member churches. However, other volunteers are always welcome. Please contact the Pantry at 701-237-9337 or by using the "Contact Us" form on this website to inquire about volunteer opportunities. Your interest in helping is appreciated.
